  • Engineering Biology Sandbox Fund Round 2

    UK regulators can apply to the Engineering Biology Sandbox Fund Round 2 (EBSF2) with sandbox projects that accelerate regulatory reforms for engineering biology-derived products and improve the quality of decision-making when assessing these products. This fund will support innovative engineering biology sandboxes which aim to accelerate pro-innovation regulatory reform and encourage business innovation and investment. All sandboxes should aim to ensure timely delivery of regulatory reforms to support the growth of the UK’s engineering biology sectors. We have allocated up to £5 million to fund these regulatory sandboxes. Individual sandbox proposals can apply for up to £1.6 million in funding.   • Regulators Pioneer Fund Round 4

    The Regulatory Innovation Office are currently preparing the next round of the Regulators’ Pioneer Fund (RPF). The RPF aims to create a regulatory environment that encourages business innovation and investment in the UK. We achieve this by funding regulator and local authority-led projects that test and trial new regulatory approaches. Organisations from all four nations are eligible to apply. The RPF has delivered three funding rounds to date. The first round invested up to £10 million in 14 regulator-led projects (2018-20), the second round invested up to £3.7 million in 21 regulator and local authority led projects (2021), and the third round invested up to £12 million in 24 regulator and local authority led projects (2022).

    Archives Revealed is the only grant programme in the United Kingdom (UK) dedicated to the unlocking of archival collections. The programme is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Pilgrim Trust, the Wolfson Foundation and The National Archives. The goal of Archives Revealed is to ensure that significant archive collections, representing the lives and perspective of all people across the UK, are made accessible to the public for research and enjoyment. The Scoping Grants programme funds an independent consultant to produce an expert collections report (or scoping report) on a full or partial archival collection, for which the contents are unknown in detail, but which is significant and of interest to the public.
